WHAT IS REIKI?

Reiki is universal life force energy. It is an ancient “laying on of hands” healing system that was rediscovered in Japan in the 1800’s by Mikao Usui. A practitioner of Reiki has learned and been “attuned” to the unlimited source energy of Reiki. An attunement, given by a ReikiMaster, is the initiation that a new practitioner goes through to clear energetic blockages within so that they can tune into the abundant flow of life force energy, whenever their intention is to heal themselves or others.

HOW ITS DONE

A Reiki session (without massage) is a non-invasive session that will be done with the client fully clothed. Practitioner will gently lay their hands either directly on or above the clients body. As channeled Reiki energy flows through the practitioners hands, the client may start feeling warm or tingling sensations, and will generally feel a sense of calm and comfort. A Reiki session will usually be done silently with calm music in the background, and may also include the use of crystals, essential oils, and singing bowls to further enhance the benefits of the session.

 

INTUITIVE MASSAGE WITH REIKI

Our bodies are constantly trying to speak to us, and usually we are unable to hear it until we have a physical manifestation such as physical pain or illness. As humans, we tend to store stagnant energy in certain areas of our bodies, leading to tension, decreased range of motion, pain and sensitivity. During an intuitive massage session with Reiki, your massage therapist will be in tune with your subtle body energy and use massage techniques as well as Reiki hand positions to promote a better flow of circulation and energy for overall physical, energetic and emotional wellbeing.
